Thursday's Little Things!

I thought I wasn't going to get a minute to write down my Little Things for this week, but then daddy swooped in and saved the day, taking the girls to the park! So, here they are! (Ps. Go to A Serenade For Solitude to link up your own list for the week! And stay and read her amazing, inspiring blog!)

-First of all, this:

Holy cow, right? How could a baby be any cuter than this?

-Playing at the park behind the police station with Scouty while Louise napped in her car seat. We climbed and jumped and went down the slides on our bellies the dangerous way, and it reminded me so much of last year when Scouty was my only thing to keep up with.

-Louisey's check up went awesome, (except that she has another ear infection.) She's almost 9 months and 20lbs 10oz. That's 20 pounds of pure sugar, by the way.

-After the doctor, we went to the mall play area, and a fussy, clingy baby turned into a totally satisfied, happy baby watching all the big kids playing, which meant that I could sit comfortably on the squishy benches and stretch my arms. And nobody was whining. It was totally amazing.

-Scouty went to Grammy's house, so Kurt, Louise and I went to the Borders store that is closing down. We sat on the floor in a secluded corner and let Louisey climb around on our legs and looked at a picture book about the Stooges. Of course I drooled everywhere and said, "No, look at this one!" about every single picture of Iggy while Kurt rolled his eyes, (even though I know that no amount of straightness could make anybody not find a circa 1979 Iggy sexy.)

Like this one, look at this one:

Not my picture, by the way, but duh.

And this one! Look at this one!

Just kidding. I'm sure you get the point.

-Scouty's first soccer lesson was amazing! She was so sweet and cute, and when it was her turn to score a goal, the coach had to move it so that her ball would go in! Oh god, I could have died of the cuteness. She was kick, kick, kicking the ball around at like... .00000000001mph, and as she sllloooooowly dribbled past us, she yelled, "Hey guys, I'm doing awesome!"

-The sun finally came back today and so far, we've spent pretty much every available second of breathing, breathing real, outside air.

What are your Little Things, this week?

  2. Aah! I know! She makes me crazy with her cuteness. She's lucky she's cute, too, because she's a little teething crab and I'm seriously on my last marble!

  3. Such great things, indeed. Love how self-assured your girl is. To forever instill this same quality in mine is my life goal.

...on the floor at Borders. Sounds like what I need...

YAY for the sun!! It has been out all day and it is wonderful!

  4. Cassie, I think that if we make sure our girls know that they're loved and awesome and treasured, everything else will fall into place for them! At least that's my overall parenting plan!
