Life scheduling and ceiling breakdown...

I forgot to update you about my new life schedule! Here, have a look:

6:30am - Gym (or other exercise)
5:30pm - Dinner with my family
6:30pm - Library to work on my book

Tuesday:
1ish pm - Make dinner for Kurt and the girls so it's ready
5:30pm - Run out of the door as soon as Kurt gets home to go to work on my book
8:00pm - Gym (or other exercise)

Wednesday:
1ish pm - Make dinner for Kurt and the girls so it's ready
5:30pm - Run out of the door as soon as Kurt gets home to go to work on my book
8:00pm - Gym (or other exercise)

Thursday:
6:30am - Gym (or other exercise)
5:30pm - Dinner with my family
6:30pm - Library to work on my book

Friday:
5:30pm - Dinner with my family
7:00pm - Gym

Saturday & Sunday are free for alls. I get the weekends to myself, for the most part, so I don't have to be structured with my time.

See... I cannot handle, CANNOT HANDLE, waking up every day at 6 to go to the gym. I hate it. I hate getting up. I hate exercising when I'm all dehydrated and starved from sleeping. I hate having to shower as soon as I get home and at the same time take over kid duty as Kurt leaves for work. However! I totally can handle getting up early two days per week.

It's the same thing with handing Kurt the girls as soon as he sets foot in the door after work. I would never do that to him every day... but I would, and will, do it two days per week.

On Friday, the library is closed and it's the only place that's quiet and private enough for me to really get work done. (Have I mentioned this? I'm crazy over libraries. I feel like I honestly screwed everything up by not becoming a sexy librarian.) So, on Friday, I'll take my time having dinner with my family and then head to the gym.

What do you think? I mean, it's psycho to schedule every day of your life, maybe... but this isn't an out of control schedule, is it? Because I've never been even remotely successful at maintaining a schedule that is even moderately demanding or irritating.

I'll keep you updated about how it's going.

Speaking of demanding and irritating:

So this has been going on.

On my very first scheduled day to wake up early and hit the gym, I came downstairs a little after 6am to discover that the sagging part of the ceiling was ON THE FLOOR. I can't express how distressing it is to find a part of your ceiling on the floor.

We're making progress with the help of some wonderful family members who posses wonderful construction knowledge. Until it's fixed, (cross your fingers for this Saturday!) everything from the living room is packed into the dining room and I'm coming up with one thousand reasons each day to stay away from home as long as possible. Would anybody like some afternoon visitors this week?

One last update that has had you all on the edge of your seats, this week. I did, indeed, find some vegan, non-hydrogenated cake icing for Louisey's cake! I am making the cake myself. It's going to be shaped like Muno, or at least as close to the shape of Muno that I can get it.

THREE MORE DAYS UNTIL SHE'S ONE!! Holy crap.

  1. I'm a little jealous over your schedule. ;)

My kids do not sleep through the night. My 2 year old mostly does (but not lately), and my 7-month-old still loves to nurse all night long. So I am not rested and therefore cannot do something like this right now. So I will live vicariously through you. ;)

Sorry about the ceiling troubles! But happy early birthday to your little one. :)

  2. Oh my gosh, not sleeping through the night is PURE TORTURE. It makes me insane. I can't wait until they're sleeping for you. You're going to feel so awesome. Can you even remember what it was like to be rested? I would totally come babysit if I could so that you could take a long nap.
