I've been talking a lot about beauty, lately.
Here's something else.
Try wearing clothes that make the YOU inside shine through to the outside. Forget about covering parts of yourself up. If you've got a belly, let yourself have a belly. It's a part of you and you're an awesome person who does amazing things. If you've got thighs, let your thighs be thighs. They don't look any prettier stuffed into ridiculous spandex tubes. Forget about following rules about what you should and shouldn't wear and worrying about what's fashionable. You're the thing that's beautiful. Be as you as you can be and you'll look like a million bucks.
eShakti offered to send me a dress. They said I could pick anything I wanted, so I picked a bright red strawberry picking dress. Click through for photos and to find out what I thought.

You look fabulous in that dress. Truly.
ReplyDeleteThe other day I was struggling to fix my hair and saying some not-so-nice things about myself, and Roy said, "Hey, stop ragging on my wife." It was a nice wake-up call.
I am not a dress girl. I don't really wear them for anything other than special occasions, but when I do, I feel like a million bucks. I have always felt most comfortable in jeans and T-shirts and flip flops. So that's what I wear most often. Still, maybe I should get some dresses just to put on on those days when I'm feeling bad.
eShakti is a HORRIBLE company. Their customer service is terrible, and the products are shoddy. I ordered several dresses. They took forever to arrive, and arrived in separate shipments. The first one fell apart after washing (I washed in delicate cycle, which I'm sure a simple cotton dress should be able to handle) so I returned the others. It has been two months and I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY REFUND!!!!!!! Emailing customer service gets no response at all and calling gets you put on hold for 5 minutes, and then you are forced to leave a message because their agents are "busy". Phone calls are NEVER returned.
ReplyDeleteDO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
